Electromagnetic Fields
Although the effects of electrognetic radiation on health may not yet be fully understood, the reciprocal disruption to other electrical appliances is definitely a problem with potentially damaging consequences, which can be minimised by reliable shielding processes.
Radio waves and microwave radiation emitted by electrical appliances can lead to malfunctions or damage to electrical components. Because of this, many products and applications require EMI and RFI shielding. This includes radar and GPS navigation systems, consumer electronics, laboratories, data centres, planes, military and stealth technology, communications equipment and so much more.
Wavelength and aperture size are key criteria for electromagnetic shielding using metal meshes. As the wavelengths which occur can differ widely, we provide meshes with the most diverse range of aperture sizes in order to ensure effective solutions. Due to their exceptional conductivity, copper meshes are a preferred choice for applications where there is no room for compromise. As an alternative, alloys like brass are available to achieve a Faraday cage effect.
The consistency of our woven metal meshes enables us to achieve minimal tolerances for the most demanding shielding applications. We can also fabricate our meshes according to your bespoke processes into a subassembly ready for integration into your manufacturing chain.
