Prior to weaving
Our extremely fine meshes demand intensive monitoring and supervision measures. These essential processes guarantee the attributes we guarantee, such as quality and reproducibility.
These advanced levels of control start when the wire is delivered into our warehouse, where we test the wire diameters according to DIN and our own in-house standards (IN). Ultimately, the finest wires measure as little as 13 µm. Any discrepancies could have serious consequences for subsequent weaving processes as well as for the end product.
We also test the material quality to DIN EN, AISI and IN standards using tensile testing and/or to individual customer requirements.
Equally important in terms of the finished mesh is the quality of the wire surface, which we test to our own internal standards (IN) using high performance microscopes. This applies to wire drawn at Finilnox, our own wire drawing plant, as well as wire bought in from other sources.
