Calendering
Calendering our steel meshes has an effect upon the different properties of the mesh, either in terms of mesh thickness, mechanical parameters and/or visual criteria.
First and foremost, subjected to several tons of rolling mill technology, a precise and regular thickness reduction is achieved. By ‘precise’, we mean a tolerance window of plus or minus one micron across the entire width and breadth of the roll.
Calendering is also the method of choice for optimising the mechanical properties of the mesh in terms of hardness, bond and elongation.
What’s more, calendering also provides the opportunity to match the surface texture in line with customer requirements.
- Mesh strips from 3-1530mm in width
- Accuracy to +/- 0.001 mm
- Down to a minimum mesh thickness of 15 microns
